This policy explains what personal data Get Markd collects, why, and how we protect it. It applies to getmarkd.co, your account, and our services. We follow Lebanese Law No. 81 of 2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data.
What we collect
- Account and contact details: name, business name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, language.
- Filing details: the trademark, logo, goods and services, owner's legal name, nationality, address and company registration number.
- Documents you upload: certificates, signed wikalas, receipts and reports.
- Payment records: amounts, dates, method and reference numbers. We don't receive or store card numbers.
- Messages and notes about your requests, including what you send through our contact form.
Your ID is shown to the public notary when you sign the wikala. We don't ask you to upload it.
Why we use it
- To prepare and file your trademark application and follow it with the Ministry.
- To run your account, record payments and send you reminders about payments, filings and renewals, by WhatsApp or email.
- To answer your questions and requests.
- To send tips and offers, only if you agreed. You can stop them at any time.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
- The Ministry of Economy and Trade, as required to file your application.
- Our partner law firm, for legal advice and representation on your file.
- Service providers that host our website, database, files and email, under agreements that protect your data.
We don't sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, filings and documents for as long as your trademark is protected and you're our client, so we can renew it and answer questions about it, and afterwards for as long as the law requires for legal and accounting records. Contact details from a request we couldn't turn into a service are deleted when no longer needed.
How we protect it
- Documents are stored privately and opened only through links that expire.
- Each client can only see their own data.
- Team accounts need a password and a code from a phone (2-step login).
- Connections to our site are encrypted (HTTPS).
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. You can stop marketing messages at any time. Write to support@getmarkd.co.
Cookies and storage
We use your browser's storage only to keep you logged in and remember your language. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
