Terms of service

These terms apply when you use getmarkd.co, create an account, or buy a service from Get Markd ("we", "us"). By creating an account or paying for a service, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Get Markd is a trademark registration service in Lebanon. We prepare your trademark application, the text of your power of attorney (wikala), and follow your file with the Ministry of Economy and Trade. Legal advice is provided through our partner law firm. 2. What we do for you

• Prepare the application and the wikala text for your trademark.
• File the application with the Ministry of Economy and Trade after we receive your signed wikala and payment as agreed.
• Show the progress of your file in your dashboard and tell you when it moves forward.
• If you subscribe to Trademark Watch: search trademark databases and Instagram each month for names close to yours and post what we find in your dashboard.

3. What you do

• Give us accurate information: your name or company details, address, the trademark, and the goods or services it covers.
• Sign the wikala at a public notary (Kateb Adel) with your ID. The notary's own fee is paid to the notary.
• Confirm that you have the right to use and register the trademark, and that it doesn't copy someone else's mark that you know about.
• Keep your login details private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown on our pricing page and in your dashboard, in US dollars. The filing price includes the government fees for one class of goods or services. Extra classes and registrations outside Lebanon are quoted before we start.

You can pay in full or in monthly instalments when that option is offered. If a payment is late, we may pause work on your file until it's paid. Pausing can delay your filing date. Trademark Watch is billed monthly or every three months in advance, and stops if a payment isn't made.

5. Refunds

Once your application is filed with the Ministry, the fee is non-refundable, because the government fees have been paid and the filing can't be undone. If you cancel before we file, contact us and we'll agree on any refund based on the work already done. Trademark Watch periods already started are not refunded.

6. Decisions by the Ministry and third parties

The Ministry of Economy and Trade decides on registration and sets its own timelines. Other parties may challenge a trademark in court. These decisions are outside our control.

7. Trademark Watch

Watch is a monitoring service. We search the sources described on our Watch page each month, but no search can find every similar name everywhere. Acting on an alert, for example by objecting or going to court, is a separate service and is quoted separately.

8. Your documents

Files you upload (certificates, logos, receipts, signed wikalas) are kept in your account so we can do our work and keep a record of it. How we handle your personal data is explained in our privacy policy.

9. Liability

We do our work with care. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for a service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service. We're not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't affect services you already paid for.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon. Disputes go to the competent courts of Lebanon.
